Actually, yes, the "body of Christ" and all that goes with it is some kind of silly superstition, and mere assertion to the contrary won't cut it.
As for my humanist values, they are secular through and through, without a trace of divine command nonsense or idol-worshipping herd think. At their core is some version of the so-called Golden Rule. And before you trumpet this as evidence of my indebtedness to Christianity, at least have the decency to acknowledge that "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (or the formulation I prefer, "avoid doing to others those things you find painful") pre-dates Christianity by centuries and might as well be called a Confucian value. Neither Yahweh nor Jesus are needed to connect those dots.
