1. They are questioning their own beliefs.
2. They were shunned by their own-kind and they are now seeking refuge.
3. They are inebriated and thinking more clearly.
4. There is hope in their hearts that they will actually find someone to brain-wash? A stupid atheist? What has a better chance of existing? A god or a dumb atheist?
5. To quote the bible to us, because their own kids think that they are completely insane.
6. Looking for an intelligent conversation after the lame sermon they just experienced. Too bad it takes two to tongue-tangle.
7. They cannot afford the cover-charge at their local church.
Hi non-atheists, why do you log-on to atheistforums.org?
Thanks and please take care.
I'm not particularly religious but I know when I was reading a description for this site it mentioned something about being a place where atheists and theists can debate.
A debate requires a certain standard in the arguments either side puts forth. A debate ends when neither is able to change the mind of the other. Christians carrying on monologues in disregard to what others have said here is not a debate. A christain carrying on trumpeting christianity, willing to neither change the subject, nor change his mind is a fanatic. Debating a fanatic is a waste of time.
