I think I know what you're trying to say here, but you have to realize that critical thinkers get bombarded with bullshit all the time and must argue the points with ferocity for fear of that idea infesting the minds of other readers. A few examples that I can think of off the top of my head:
-Someone trying to sell the Bible and the stories within as historical fact
-Anyone that fights against the truth of evolution
-Anyone arguing against the age of the earth (i.e. a Creatard that says dinosaurs lived at the same time men did).
And this is only the tip of the iceberg. To say that we're not supposed to know something is selling our intellect short. Do we know about God or Spirits? Probably not, but that's probably because we can't know the unknowable; everything else that can be tested and verified is fair game.
