If they're proposing or doing something socially harmful backed by their religion you can certainly argue with/oppose them on that point, but that's probably where it's best to draw the limit. You wouldn't argue with a Jain about their metaphysical beliefs or choice of lifestyle if they're causing no harm, in that religion they literally can't not even insects. It's something cultural and they're enjoying it. You don't have to be like the Grinch who tried to steal Christmas.
