Right... because shoving someone off a tall building costs a whole lot.
No: executing someone in such a way as their death is essentially guaranteed and also likely entirely painless... is expensive. Simply executing a person is practically free (the process of doing so is free, paying one guy to make him dead costs about 7 dollars).
Because life in a cage totally doesn't suck more than a somewhat painful death, right?
