Genocide in the Old Testament

*Multiverse of the gaps. (This from the Occams Razor folk who tell intelligent design theists not to conjure up stuff)

Nobody accepts the multiverse hypothesis as a fact.

*Quantum mechanics of the gaps. (But we wanted certainty Mr Heisenberg and you gave us chaos theory)

Unlike anything in your bible, observed in reality and useful in real-world applications.

*Past-eternal universe of the gaps. (Groundhog Day? Really? THAT'S your "brute fact" answer to theistic creation?)

Again, a mere hypothesis, not accepted as fact.

*Somewhere over the rainbow...one day we will know the answer. (THAT is gaps reasoning writ large!!! Can't you see how hypocritical it is for the kettle to call the pot black? Biblical theology says EXACTLY that about many things.)

That's what the Bible says. What science says is "Someday, we will figure out the answer" because science is proactive and useful. Waiting for a revelation from imaginary monsters is passive stupidity.

Next time you wanna plead that whole..."one day we will discover the answer" cop-out, just substitute the words...God works in mysterious ways.

Those two statements don't even mean the same thing, you ignoramus.

The bible says God did it. That statement is not altered or peer reviewed or subject to popular opinion.

We know. That's why it is utterly useless.

Science has the luxury of getting stuff wrong and changing the "facts" as it goes. (The "beauty of science" - we get to stuff up and rewrite a new tentative hypothesis and still pretend it is somehow a hallmark of high IQ)

Science has to conform to reality as we discover more about it, as opposed to religion, which has sat in the corner with its fingers in its ears chanting NOPE NOPE NOPE ever since we've learned enough about how the universe works to know that your religion is horseshit.

Religion has the luxury of appealing to stupid people, like yourself, allowing it to survive in spite of the consistency with which the real world renders it invalid.
