Suppose Fred buys all the materials and tools to build a house for a needy family, and Greg actually builds the house. By your reasoning, Greg should get all the credit. In reality, Fred will be given credit too.
Is either Greg or Fred allowed to smash the house once its built and the family has moved in? Or would that be frowned upon?
Now, imagine Greg built the house out of materials that occur in nature, and then Fred's friend John walked up and demanded that Fred provided those materials, without providing any evidence, and against all rationality, and then tells the poor family moving in that, someday, Fred will come to smash down the house and kill the people living in it, because that's his right. He made the house, after all.
Would you be okay with that?
