I remember coming home from school everyday and Star Trek (TOS) would be on at 4:00pm on channel 4. Watched every episode again and again. Were they campy? Sure. But they were all we had back then (since VCR's were a bit of a novelty).
TNG was very good, but it jumped the shark after Roddenberry died. DS9 was the worst of all. It totally strayed from the original Star Trek ideals and became a war documentary. Voyager was good, but weak. (Seven of Nine was hot!) Enterprise was just okay at best. It started to get its legs in season 4, then they cancelled it.
The movies? Some were good, some were bad. Only a handful were great.
Yep, been to a few Star Trek Conventions, too. I am a nerd in many ways.
