It's a close-minded view to take, and actually quite hilarious to watch. Where the Bible does seem to "conform" with scientific opinion, it is at best; ambiguous.
I am going to assume that the reason you and other atheists here seem to have no capacity for logical thought in your defense as youth and inexperience rather than having anything to do with being brainwashed by monkies in suits.

Ace, some advice . . .
Don't criticize something you know nothing about. The Bible, and therefore the writers of the Bible, doesn't say that the earth is flat. That the earth was the center of the universe, or that lightning would strike churches? I don't even know what that was about, but I am safe in assuming that as with the first two you were wrong about the third. Thus my point.
