Why even threaten people with a global flood?
Because the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
If you told me a neighbor of yours was a nice and kind man then proceeded to tell me he was a judge who routinely handed out punishment to criminals, I wouldn't see a contradiction. How come you cannot see that with my god?

OBJECTION!! my neighber isnt claiming to be all loving and caring beyound everyone else. Add to that judges are bound by laws. God behaves like dictator.i know people who are more loving and WAY less judgemental than your imaginary god.

Quote:You say he waited decades for the ark but he was already committing to the flood. That's like a father threatening a child with a severe nose breaking beating but allows him some time to prepare for it.No, it's like a judge giving criminals decades to repent. God doesn't claim fatherhood to all of man.
Quote:So the part where those psalms mention a loving god is null and void once you read the rest of it and see the atrocities he had committed.
