That is the thing that I have the biggest problem with. This "good, god-fearing" stuff. You're always
hearing about "good, god-fearing" people. If you are doing it out of fear, then are you really good?
And what kind of narcissistic sociopath needs to keep getting his ego stroked endlessly like the god
of the bible? I kind of have to wonder just how much of the stuff you get from your religous folk is
not love for god at all, but rather fear of spending eternity in some flaming pit well stocked with
nasty, sadistic demons who make Pinhead look like Hawkeye Pierce?
Sometimes I have a problem remembering we're in the 21st Century with all these fundie yahoos running
waving their bibles and screaming the end-times are coming so we'd best repent. If I'm only sorry out
fear, then I'm not really sorry, am I?
