When you go to a movie, you go knowing it will end. But that does not stop you from going. When you go to a music concert, you go knowing it will end, but that does not stop you from going. When you go to a sporting event, you know that someone will lose, and maybe even your team, but you still go knowing it will end.
See, I don't have your bully narcissist of a god character holding my life hostage. I find good in life without assigning it to magic. I love my mother. I also love my cat. I find beauty in sunsets and clear night skies. But I also face reality including the not so nice stuff, but I do so without superstition or fear.
I'd recommend you keep your god belief it that is what it takes for you not to pop yourself. But don't sell your koolaid to us and pretend we need it.
