This I have a problem with. As long as ethics remain in the realm of philosophy, no one has the rights to enforce their views and opinions on anybody else.

As sure as the cops enforce the law, the religious enforce the law of the supernatural, and these laws are meant to be ethical truths.

As a citizen I have some say in what laws govern me, but as I said, 'law enforcement' for 'ethical truths' is complete and utter bullshit. Ethical truths? Most of these pissheads can't even get simple, actual truths in their heads, such as giving blowjobs sucking off the foreskin of an infant with your mouth can cause severe health issues or death.

You say that religion is about killing the infidels, when that's against the law of most religions.

You just proved my point even more. Seventh commandment of Christians, don't kill. Yet, 'justified' wars have been fought over and over and over again, not just because of other people having different believes and threaten the 'purity' of the doctrine, but now it's mostly done for greed. The soldiers that do kill are not all to blame, how can you say no to your superior officers or those who thought invading Country X was profitable and a good idea? That shows the mercy of those leaders, they say that they are devote Christians, yet they send out those who haven't much of a say in things, fully knowing that the ones on the frontlines are the ones that have to break their oaths to their gods.

If a person wants to kill infidels, it most likely isn't alright with their religion.

I'll agree with you that there isn't a god but I'm not going to agree with you that religion somehow tells people to do bad stuff, and is bad, most religious people see their faith as guidance on how to lead a good life, and the majority rules.

Fuck no! If people feel like they need a god to tell them how to behave like a decent human being, something is truly rotten.

I'm right, and you're wrong, bashing religions as if they want to harm people when all they ever do is go on and on about morality and being good to people, if a person sets out to do bad, then he's not doing religious work, even if they do it in the name of religion.

There's a difference between politics and religion, however both have power. Think of a chess board. A king, queen, bishop, knight, rook, and pawns. What is the job of the bishop? It is to be an ethical voice in the ear of the ruthless king who sets out to destroy the other king.

That's a really naïve way of thinking. The bishop is the ethical voice in the ear of the king? They're more like to plot together over a fancy dinner.
