2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.[/color]
As a side note, if you look at the dimensions given of the city, you'll see that the city is a giant pyramid with a base of about 1500 square miles, And about 1500 miles from the base to the apex where God will reside.
That's not a pyramid, that's a spire! Better recheck your measurements.
When this "New Jerusalem" comes popping out of the sky and squishes all of the "old Jerusalem" don't you think it's going to look a bit gaudy and out of place?
Will modern cars be allowed on these streets of gold, or will we have to go back to camels and donkeys?
Why will god want to "reside" there? Isn't he everywhere, yet nowhere at the same time? Does god have a need to sit in a chair every so often or does he just have a thing for "thrones?"
27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
So both heaven and this New Jerusalem both have "lamb's book of life" entry requirements? How does one know where they are going to be stationed in the afterlife, in Heaven or the "New Jerusalem?"
