What is 'biological fact' anyway? Simply one's genetics?

Yes. I consider male and female to be a genetic thing. XY=male, XX=female. Females tend to be the ones born with vaginas and males the one's born with penises.

I consider it a different thing to identity. But I don't consider it to in anyway demean the identity aspect. What people identify themselves as can be a very complicated (and important of course) thing.

In addition to the most common XX and XY chromosomal sexes, there are quite a few other possible combinations such as Turner syndrome (XO), Triple X syndrome (XXX), Klinefelter syndrome (XXY), XYY syndrome (XYY), XX male, Swyer syndrome (XY female), and there are many other individuals who do not follow the typical patterns (such as individuals with four or even more sex chromosomes).

Sex is far from a simple 2 way split... whilst this is typical: the rarer genotypes are completely natural. This may or may not be a 'good' thing... but sex is far from a 2 way split. This is entirely genetic.. that it is not typical does not mean it is any less genetic.
