Here's how Christians view theists. At leat this one. Angry. Or lazy and selfish. Or prideful.
Some hate god. So they say they don't believe in a god that would allow some tragedy or evil to befall them earlier in life. Why didn't god protect me from that? Howcould a good god allow that to happen to us?
Some get so caught up in their own selves, that they look for reasons to deny a god that asks us to think of others first. I want to buy that yacht and have sex with as many as I can at a time, and never have to go to church... So out of necessity they have to deny god to clear their conscience.
Others are intellectual, and too smart for their own good. They think if they can't measure itor sense it or decide it it's not there. So they deny god on an intellectual basis. I'm so smart I won't be fooled by the deity fallacy! Hahaha. Look at me,I'm enlightened. Then they like to look down on any card carrying Christian.iwish they could engage one of the thousands of intellectually superior theologians and religious we have today. Iwish they could have engaged pope John Paul the great. Or Benedict. Take a visit to fr. Robert Barron. Or tweet him. Email Peter kreeft at BC. Or Scott Hahn at Franciscan U.
