You really think that McCain would have won had he had Romney as a running mate? Hardly. Think about 2008 for a second... we were in a recession, and Obama had the message of hope and change. All McCain had was "I promise I'm not just like Bush" and "Oh I don't remember how many houses I own." When the economy is in the toilet, rich guys who don't even know how rich they are don't do very well in elections.
