You're trying to find sense in something that in itself does not make sense. The problem with the bible and every other religious text is that anyone could come along and write similar passages that makes just about as much sense as the ones you know and pass it off as truth without having to provide any further evidence than the passage they just wrote. Observe.
I just suggested that a goddess looking like Daenerys Targaryen had her two-headed stone dragon create the universe. Do you really need to ask about the logic behind it?
