Yes, I have noticed. I went to a bible study with my wife last night for the first time in months, and all I felt for the Christians there was compassion. I stepped away from the forum fodder and found humanity there. These are people facing the same day-to-day struggles and challenges as myself. They are looking for meaning and purpose in life, and they are worth my time to hear them out. I will not attempt to persuade any human, Christian or otherwise, one way or another in matters of belief, nor would I appreciate any human attempting to lead me to their belief if I did not agree with it. I see a lot of atheists on this site (theists too) being very provocative and mean spirited (I have been so myself). I think we could all learn a lot from each other if we were more willing to give consideration. I too am a work in progress, and I am working diligently on improving my interactions here on this forum. I am guilty of saying some truly shameful things for the sake of nothing more than ridiculing people I hardly know. I have allowed my temperament to persuade me to become nasty and mean, and I cannot escape my own imperfect humanity. I am thankful that my time on this forum has inspired me to become introspective toward some very neglected aspects of my good character. Thank you for hearing where I was coming from, and thank you for giving me the grace to be human.
WoW! Thanks for sharing!
I know we can be on different planets sometimes...but you are right! There is more we have in common than not.
Maybe if we actually tried to understand each others views we would get somewhere. But, the internet is cold and impersonal. And that is a cruel combo in the issues at hand.
There are a few atheists/agnostics here I would call friends. I would count you among them...whether YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!!!

But seriously, I always have an open mind and look forward to answering, listening and debating with you.
You've given me a "good", new reason to watch my manners! I'll try not to disappoint! Thanks! Ron
