This may be less of a strong political statement, but I think it bears mentioning, but a budding young author named Jack Fields, whose work I've plugged and gushed about elsewhere on this forum.
He's working on getting a company started for him to work on puppetry in film and theatre. He recently applied for a quarter million dollar loan from Chase Bank, and may have a chance at getting it if he gets enough votes.
Go here, and search for "There's a Thing in there."
He only needs 26 more votes (I've given him one), and, if it works, a budding young auteur will get to bring his work to a larger audience. Just FYI, he's not me, and I do not know him.
