Wanted to add - when the dust finally settles, we may find out that neither of the AFC West heavyweights come out on top, at least not in the end. Everyone talks up the Broncos, and to a lesser extent KC, but there's someone else to watch out for.
I'm referring to Indianapolis - who has had a tougher schedule than Denver or KC - beating SF, Seattle, and Denver, with KC still on the schedule. AFC North leader Cincinnati is also in the schedule.
With a two-game lead over the inconsistent Titans in the NFC South, the Colts will probably win the division, and if not, they are keeping pace for the wildcard race. It seems unlikely that they would not earn a playoff berth.
What happens when they play KC and Cincy matters - if they beat Cincy, it's very likely that their first round playoff will be against a team they have already beat. If they beat KC, they will have beat all of this year's elite teams on their schedule.
The AFC playoffs look to be interesting.
