There is no "keeping faith in atheism." Either you believe a god exists or you don't. And in your case it appears that you do.
I'm with Brian, I think you need to see a different therapist or something. It would appear that you've got issues that the other therapists haven't been able to resolve yet. I would say that your belief in God isn't healthy at this point because you're wondering if you've been cursed by him with this illness. I find it strange that your therapists refuse to discuss your God belief because it does look like it's part of the problem, but I'm no psychologist.
