Maybe deism is right for you. You can believe in a Creator, but it doesn't communicate with us or intervene in worldly matters. No one really knows anything about this Creator, but maybe it rewards you for being a good person after you die. Otherwise, you're on your own. The deist God doesn't curse anyone, but it doesn't help anyone either.
