This is why I hate people who hate "fucking christians"

Atheists who hate Christians most often used to be Christians. It probably takes an ex-one to hate one. Imagine how you'd feel if your family and the community of people you grew up with were all intent on coercing your acceptance of something you found absurd. But not everyone had it equally bad. Those who didn't escape until after they'd exerted pressure on others of the sort that had been used on them probably have the hardest time forgiving themselves - and therefore also you.

So welcome reasonable Christian dude. I have no beef with you. But understand that those who are still processing their deconversion probably will. If it gets too hot in the kitchen .. take a break. Hope you stick around though.

Keep in mind you'll encounter a high number of people going through the deconversion in a place like this. Once all this stuff is old hat, like to me and many others, we simply have no interest in discussing it any more. Ironically, the only ones will even somewhat listen are the ones most inclined to give you grief. But even then, once the deconversion process starts, its pretty much inevitable.
