Christians Endorse God's Hatred

Just because I said there is some sense to public endorsement of heterosexual unions, that does not mean that I agree with such policies. Nor does it serve any good for anti-religion bigots to rail against Christians, like me.

Homosexual activists have successfully shifted the argument from one of public policy to sexual expression. Although it used to be the case, current public endorsement of heterosexual marriage has nothing to do with restricting who a person can love or consensual sexual expression. It is about encouraging behaviors resulting in a public good. With respect to public policy when you benefit from governmental Ponzi schemes, like Social Security and other “entitlements”, you own a debt of gratitude to Mormons and observant Roman Catholics. Today, most enlightened people recognize that people who privately engage in homosexual behaviors also can participate in cultivating the next generation of citizens, through education, adoption, and youth outreach. These assure the quality of a crop of kids, not just their numbers

Yes, I oppose public support of gay marriage. Actually I oppose public support of all marriage along with all other forms of social engineering. These intrusive policies unnecessarily restrict personal liberty and distribute rewards in the name of public good. Personal relationships, like who you love and your sexual preferences, are not legitimate governmental concerns. Likewise public policy should not force religious institutions to violate the tenants of their faith: like making Catholic Charities provide adoption services to those who engage in homosexual behavior or even refrain from preaching against homosexuality because they deem it hate speech.

From a Biblical perspective, my marriage is sacred oath between me and my wife made before God. That’s no one else’s business, least of all the government’s. I personally will never recognize gay marriage, as marriage, because it lacks God’s approval. And I maintain that homosexual behavior is a perverse and persistent social evil that is in direct violation of God’s will.
