I have to add that some of your comebacks read rather like they should have been coming from me rather than you.
I'd add further that its not so much of settling a little question of whether an afterlife exists or not as more to providing any evidence that the default position, it doesn't, is wrong.
In other words its not really a debate unless you have something new to bring to the table. This would be the same for reincarnation, Hades, Valhalla and so on and so forth - all things I guess you don't give too much time to disproving.
Atheism merely preaches a negation
Believer is believing in God and afterlife etc
Mixing God and Santa Klaus is rather childish
It is a matter of science that should be brining something new, discover new, and if you're the man of science you should undertake a first step towards understanding whether afterlife exists and the so called SOUL is eternal or not and settling down that a little question that tortures the humanity for so many centuries as to whether God exists or not.
Oh dear.
Atheism doesn't preach. It is, as you say, a negation. It says I do not believe in (insert relevant religion/deity/belief according to the theist in question) as there is no evidence.
Atheist responses to theist assertions might be interpreted as preaching, of course, but that would be incorrect.
Atheists, of their own volition also, on occasion, give their reasoning behind their lack of faith. Again this is not really preaching.
I don't recall bringing up Santa Klaus in any of my posts - perhaps you are confused?
Now science. Good news. Science is continuously and continually discovering new things at, seemingly, an ever increasing pace. We have learned more about life on earth in the last 30 years than we knew to that point throughout the whole of our history. At the same time we have pushed the boundaries of knowledge to the very origins of the universe.
We live in exciting times but to date no-one has come up with any indication of an afterlife, soul or deity. The default conclusion is therefore the atheist conclusion and will remain so unless or until such time as science demonstrates that any of them can/do exist.
