Yes, I do impressions sometimes. It's not a matter of not giving a shit (and whether you realise it or not, that could be taken as misrepresenting my position. Please try not to do that, it's not polite). Anyway, rather than simply not giving a shit, it's more like the issue does not concern me. If you imagine your beliefs as a bubble with you in the centre, surrounded on all sides and unable to see anything else, I am on the outside of the bubble and can see it for what it is. I'm not trapped in your bubble. I realise that probably sounds more arrogant than I intended, but I needed to make the point as strongly as I could.
Another way of saying it is I don't have a horse in this race, but I don't know if the idiom will translate.
