You're incredibly brave. (Freely admitting you're a Texan).
Thank you. Not all Texans are idiots. Anyway, I'm watchin the video and giving further critique. Yep, it's the same libertarian bullshit the Koch brothers have been using to justify changing the laws so they can do damn near anything they want; I figure it's only a matter of time before they are pushing congress making it their constitutional right to urinate on homeless people. If you want to read an article I found that agrees with me (and even points the finger at a few atheists who feel this way) give this a read: http://www.alternet.org/belief/why-athei...-1-problem
Anyway, shall I continue?
They accuse everyone of taking complex problems and simplifying them with easy targets while they take complex issues and blame them all on government. I call hypocracy.
They also claim that any view that isn't mainstream is automatically dismissed. I think just being atheist (and transsexual) kinda argues against following mainstream for me. Truth be told, I've seen a lot of people on the left do the exact opposite: automatically reject any idea that's mainstream as being part of the system or some other gobbly-gook.
Also, the idea that we need to reduce taxes and regulation to let small businesses grow is a red herring. I've talked to small business owners and even seen a study on it (I wish I could find it), but small business owners aren't saying that regulations or taxes are what's hurting them; they're being hurt because they don't have customers. Want to guess why I think increasing minimum wage would help those businesses?
Charismatic leaders coming forth to make them think he cares about them.... couldn't that also apply to the Koch brothers, Grover Norquist and all the other corporate megalomaniacs?
Lol. Saying left wingers were all big supporters of Obama both before and after supporting gay marriage. Y'know what? A lot of lefties like myself have been upset with him both before and after that. We don't like how long it's taken for him to support gay marriage or that he hasn't pushed for ENDA yet (another evil government program, right?) and we don't like his warmongering-lite and we aren't exactly thrilled with the economy recovering while maintaining a high unemployment. Claiming we're automatically supporting him is dishonest and absurdly ignorant.
Anyway, I'll critique th rest of this later on. Too much absurdity already.
