Quote:I thought the "times tables" went up to 12 for younglings? I am only 25 so this isn't a "when I was at school" rant, nobody else have to go to 12?
When I was at school (mid-late 1970s) we were required to learn (by which I mean 'memorize') the multiplication table through 24x24 and the natural logarithm of the first 100 integers to a precision of 4 digits.
I think this is why I never became a mathematician.
