True, there is some value to labels, but I think it's also possible to place too much importance on labels. I mean, Janice Raymond often refered to transsexuals as transsexuals, but was incredibly hostile towards us. On the other hand, I've met more than my share of people who call us "Shemale" or "tranny," not out of any hostility, but out of simply not knowing better. Again, labels aren't as important as the context that those labels are used in and what meaning you place on those labels.
