3. Some times I prefer not to talk to people at all. My longest stint of just holing up and not talking to friends or family is about 3 weeks. It just feels tiring to talk to people every once in a while.

Same here. I can go for weeks without interacting with another person, except maybe a cashier, and not even notice. A normal week, I spend most days alone at home, working on various projects. I'm a loner by nature.


When I was still living at home with my parents and sisters, one of my sisters had an oversize black Afghan hound (39" at the withers; 36" is the standard). Anyway, he developed some temperament problems. One day I was out walking him, and the lead came unhooked from his collar. So I went to him and reached for his collar to reattach the lead. He lunged at me and proceeded to attack me. I ran a couple of blocks back to my house with him pursuing me and biting at my arm all the way. Since then I've been uncomfortable around large dogs, or indeed any large animal like a horse. It's a shame, really, because I love large dogs, particularly borzois and Scottish deerhounds, and am an accomplished horse rider. I haven't tried to ride since that time, and I'd probably manage, but it wouldn't be the same. I'm really scared any time I go to nuzzle a large dog now, or even a medium one. (My sister has two Portugeuse Water Dogs, one of whom adores me, so I nuzzle with her when I come over; it's not as frightening because we're familiar, but it's still not without fear.)

When I was in high school, I had fifteen aquariums with tropical fish in my bedroom. I haven't had an aquarium since my college days, though I kept a 30 gallon, in storage, up until this past year when I threw it out. My family is celebrating Christmas late on the 12th of January, and I've asked for a 55 gallon aquarium as the main thing that I want.
