I agree with that.

The ideas in this thread have real world applications and aren't being presented as a word salad that goes almost nowhere.

Exactly. If I wanted practical ideas, I'd google "how to build a spice rack," not try to figure out why a book written pre-science fails to explain scientific discoveries.
