Learning to deal with dickheads by telling them what they want to hear is part of life. Xtians, as the biggest dickheads of all, will be good practice.
A bigger dickhead than God? I don't know of many humans who commit mass genocide by having a select group of their children kill another group.
Nor have I ever met a man who killed the first born children of everybody in a culture.
Or a man who loves people, but damns them to hell if his love is unrequited.
