How do you get from "beginning of the universe" to christianity?

Please don't necropost, and all that, but I can't just let prime arguing material go either.

I believe christianity is true because I bellieve the witnesses who walked with Jesus. If Jesus could work the miracles that he did and then rise from the dead then I believe what he said.

That's a pretty big if.

The writers of the new testament faced persecution, even to death, from lthe established Jewish leadership, from their own families and later from the Roman government. I just don't see any reason for them to lie.

So now you're living in a world where your god is real, all the others are fake, and yet all the martyrs for every other religion all died for gods that didn't exist. Why should the fact that the new testament authors did the same be evidence for your god, if those other martyrs aren't evidence of theirs?

As for all those other arguments, if God is who I believe he is, he can create the universe any way he wants to, however that was. I didn't start from the beginning, but from the fufillment of all that was written about beforehand.

All this magical thinking and handwaving serves to do is put your beliefs in a place where they can't be touched by logic: "god can do anything, and therefore any problems aren't." It's just laziness, and now I have to ask: given the above, is there anything that could falsify your religion, to you?
