Dude... those poll answers are just... no.
The people who have money beyond any reasonable ability to spend it, and desire yet a more absurdly unspendable amount of money are *probably* at least a little greedy, and they *MAY* be addicted to the power/status said absurdity provides. However... intense/selfish desire for money is not always for those reasons. Hell, plenty of rich people simply *really enjoy* having a bunch of money, and spending it freely on whatever whim they have today. Even I, who could scarcely be called 'rich', basically act as such with my money, because I don't really need or really care about it... and there are plenty of rich people who are like me in such ways. They're usually called 'philanthropists'. Having more money kind of does mean that one can be more free in dispensing good upon the world.
Also, a lot of the richer (but likely not the very richest) people just feel very stressed about their money. Sure, maybe they don't 'need' more... but what if *something* happens?

Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
