Oh, people did know very well what kind of a man they elected. He was rather open about all his views regarding jews, communists and dissidents, and the people loved him for it.
And that's fine with me though, if Hitler was a bit more patient with his moves, he could have transformed Germany into a state that everyone would look up to.
And well, I think that Nazi Germany still stands as an epitome of what a well-motivated and nationally conscious people can do.
He transformed the war torn Germany into a superstate, that flourished in industry, science and the arts.
They were also in command of the world's strongest army, it took the combined efforts of three countries to bring it down.
And looking at that, I think that Nazi Germany should be viewed as in a positive, rather than a negative light.
