My problem with that kind of bush is an issue of logistics. You really don't want to have to fight your way through the overgrown jungle when you make your way to the sacred temple when you're paying homage to the goddess. It has nothing to do with "latent pedophilia" as the article suggested but more a matter of practicality. On the other hand, shaving is a painful process for her, so I've heard, so I can understand when they don't.
