Raping the girl doesn't change a goddamned thing. Everyone involved is STILL at the mercy of the whims and will of psychopath. Whether one rapes the girl or not, the psychopath is still free to torture the loved one or not, or seek out others more important or not - and by the way, by your action, you've added one more person that the psychopath can harm due to giving in to his will.
It fulfills the end to this game. Until this goal is met, there can be no end to the fun. The story remains incomplete... the dragon not yet slain... the enemy not fallen broken before them.
You underestimate the root thrill: breaking the resilient. Your quickest salvation, and that of your loved one too? To bore them.

And that's what makes you so fuun~

You don't yet understand that being a man sometimes means doing wrong in order to protect those under your care from being wronged. Sure, you can say, "I didn't torture my family-- those bastards did it!" but you've still failed to protect them.
I do not believe his station, or circumstances, are relevant. Also, there are few ways to protect others from torment... not even using yourself as a shield and/or distraction is likely to work.
Predators are not all after the same thing. This situation appears to be the invention of someone not so far from me... but how could *the subject* know what kind of predator this is? THEY CAN'T.
Every action is wrong. There is no nobility here.
