I used to be depressed all the time during my middle school years, I even literally considered suicide because I was bullied a lot in school and not to mention my mother had gotten very sick during those times. She stayed about a week at a hospital so I was more sad and not knowing what has happened to her (she ended up having diabetes). My brother and father felt like giving me advice wasn't enough so they sent me to a therapist, at first it didn't really help even with medication nor that therapist's advice so I went to a different therapist. This therapist had given me better advice and he in a way related to me since we both liked anime and video games so that was pretty neat.
It wasn't until 11th grade when I finally overcame my depression and stopped giving a damn by not letting people that "hate" me get any kind of satisfaction from me. I gained confidence and cared mostly about passing my classes, besides I do have a few close friends to this day that care about me and my family of course. So am I happy today? Well in a way yes, college life has been a little stressful but it's nothing I can't handle. It feels great though, not being depressed anymore.
