This is pretty standard behavior of spoiled people who are used to getting everything they want. usually this shows up in children that hopefully grow out of it when they're older. You can't really get through to some people, though, and just have to fight back with facts and studies. Unfortunately even studies won't sway some people, like those that think abstinence only education actually works. They think teaching abstinence only and saying condoms don't work will keep teens from having sex, when all it does it cause them to have unprotected sex or get married the second they turn 18 so they can start. Hence why divorce rates and teen pregnancies tend to be higher in places that teach abstinence only.

Anyway, christians feel persecuted because they aren't getting their way with every little thing, and their bible tells them that persecution will happen, so when we pass pro homosexual laws and put other religious icons on public ground, and other stuff, they feel threatened.
