Not a scientist? How do you define a scientist? I'm a biology major, so does that count? I can't say I know as much as some of the experts out there like Einstein, but I already know enough that I can fully see how life can be created and how mutations occure and lead to evolution of species. I know enough about life to see how life can exist with out any god to make it exist. Pretty much what I've learned about god is that god isn't necessary anywhere in the recipe; genes, evolution, energy.... those are necessary for life, not god.
And I have to figure, if I had a different major, I'd probably see other flaws to the Bible that are plain obvious to me. My boyfriend is going to be a geologist and I could probably find out a few things about radiometric dating that would disprove at least a literal interpretation of the Bible.
