Hardly. You'd like to think that whatever historical evidence there may be points to just one conclusion. Islam for one is another alternative interpretation for anyone who thinks historical records lead to gods.
I believe the historical evidence indeed points to one conclusion i.e. that Jesus Christ is God incarnate. No where in any of my posts have I stated that the Bible is the only historical record that speaks about matters pertaining to religion.
With regards to Islam being an alternative interpretation to the Bible regarding certain events, I joyfully agree with you that it is an alternative interpretation and in one key area, flat out contradicts what is recorded in the NT regarding Jesus's death.
If my argument was that the Bible is the only religious text that contains historical accounts of religious subjects then mentioning Islam as a rebuttal would be appropriate. Since I have never stated this, bringing up Islam is simply irrelevant to what I am arguing.
