Are you sure that's a fact?

Based on the size of the ark as listed in the bible versus the level of diversity we have today, in addition to simply factoring in, say, travel time to other places on the globe that Noah couldn't have gotten to- especially for animals that aren't particularly motile, like amoebas- and... yes, it would have taken a longer time to get to the planet's current state that the flood story would allow.

And that, of course, isn't even mentioning all the civilizations around at the time of the supposed flood that just don't notice it at all. Here's a thirty-four thousand year old virus that, aside from being older than the earth is, according to any account that could conceivably keep Noah in there, managed to persist without the flood ever touching it. I could go on.
