I said
Quote: Animals have very clear classification systems. Genus. Species that style of thing. They have clear meanings. So what exactly is a "sort"?
And you replied
Quote:did you miss the part in the definition where is states "category of things"
ie. the different family of animals.
Equidae
Ursidae
Canidae
Felidae
Cervida
But now you've flipped from family to order (aranae) . As I rather suspected you would.
So I'll ask again. What is a" sort" from a taxonomic classification point of view.
Just to read ahead, if you plan to change your answer from "family" to "order" there are some somewhat more challenging questions to resolve.
maybe you should quit while you're behind. As I pointed out "sort" is defined as the "category of things" your point of view doesn't change the definition. It doesn't matter if you categorize as family/order, short/tall, mammal/reptile. They still fall into a category and therefore fall under the definition of "sort".
How Noah categorized the animals, I have no idea, the Bible just says he took 2 of each "sort". My list was was giving you an example since you doubted the definition I gave off the top of my head.

And by the way, you still have yet to acknowledge you were wrong about the word "sort" as you put it
