If you lived in Jesus' day, how would you of responded?

As intelligent as we appear to be today, we are one button push away from being annihilated, tens of thousands die from hunger each day, and our country is in so much debt we can hardly manage paying just the interest on it.

200 years ago, 90% of the world's population were subsistence farmers in what today the UN would define as the same sort of absolute poverty associated with the most impoverished third world nations. Today only 15% of the world''s population is in that state, and we can potentially eliminate that worst state of poverty in our lifetimes.

I'd say we've had a pretty clear net gain since we started really using science. It's transformed the world and bettered the lives of billions of people.
