You do know what the shape of a dome looks like right? It's 1/2 a sphere. Which from the perspective of being on any one point on the planet's surface we would experience 1/2 a sphere (dome) as well.
So tell me again how a dome (1/2) a sphere would have a edge in the sky.
Did you seriously just ask that?
The dome that goes over my cake that I put on my cake stand has a smooth, glass edge. I can touch the edge of it and feel it's curvature.
Don't you know what we mean by "edge"?
EDIT: Okay, okay, hold on. Are you going by the mathematical definition of edge, here? Because I thought it was obvious that they're talking about the surface/structure of this dome, or the edge where the ground meets the dome.
:face palm:
Since we are talking on a planetary scale Dome= 1/2 sphere. Not a cake dish.
We are currently all experiencing life from with in a dome or 1/2 a sphere. Lest you think it is possible to experience both night and day at the same time. Yet we do not see nor experience the 'edge' unless we have the perspective to understand that day break and dusk is indeed that edge. Which you nor your peers seem to be able to phathom.
