what's an atheist funeral like?

Never been to a funeral that didnt have swing low sweet chariot or amazing grace

You left out the obligatory recitation of Psalm 23. Although not original, these are to be expected at a Christian funeral. I deplore when the service transitions into an advertisement for Jesus with the implication of the living going to hell if they don't get straight with Christ.

I honestly don't care what happens to me when I die; I'll be dead. If people gather to remember me I should hope they jettison the typical somberness in favor of a more festive event.
