Really? I don't know. I mean sex is definitely better when there is a mood, when I feel connected, when I feel one with my partner. I guess in that sense men and women are similar. But I don't need it. Most of the women I've talked to about masturbating say they need the right music, the right lighting, the right mood in order to accomplish the task. I need no such thing. I need my hand and a sock.
I don't mean to extrapolate my experience to everyone's, of course this is not a rule. But I do think it speaks for the majority.
