It looks to me like the money may go to any type of private schools, not just christian schools. Parents of kids in private schools still pay taxes for public schools. They're not only supporting public schools financially, but their children are not using the facililties and resources, thus saving money for the school system. They're also leaving more space open, leading to smaller class sizes. They are actually a benefit to the public school system. Since the parents are wealthier, they probably pay a large portion of the taxes that go to the publlic schools. What's wrong with giving them financial grants once in awhile?
