Yes. I believe we get more 'sane' as it were, as we get older.
I have lost most of my urges to beat peoples faces into pulp when they insult me, for example.
This was a regrettable habit that I developed in what you Americans call 'grade school'.
I once said to my father, 'i've calmed down now'. He said 'yeah, but barely'.
I guess he could see it in my eyes, still.
I feel the problem has begun to lessen after my 35fifth birtday.
I sure don't miss the social side of adolescence, but I do miss my insane metabolism, whichhas been replaced by useless weight and occasional backaches.
